Babson College Brings ADL's Interfaith Day to Wellesley
Today, 50 high schoolers from across the New England area are coming together for the Anti-Defamation League Youth Interfaith Leadership Day.
August 15 is Interfaith Youth Leadership Day, an event hosted by the Anti-Defamation League which is coming to Wellesley.
A press release from the ADL describes it as an "intensive anti-prejudice immersion program led by highly skilled interfaith facilitators, including clergy and other religious leaders, educators, and ADL staff."
The event brings 50 high schoolers from all around New England, and from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths, all together to gain better understanding of the traditions of the three groups. After the event, the teens return to their communities, and continue to build bridges between the faith groups at home.
The ADL says there are students coming to Wellesley from a number of communities, including: Ashland, Auburndale, Boston, Burlington, Everett, Harvard, Hopkinton, Hudson, Lexington, Marblehead, Medford, Needham, Newton, Randolph, Sharon, Stoughton, Swampscott, Wayland, Westford.
ADL recently announced that Robert Trestan, Needham resident would come on as their new regional director, after his predecessor (also a Needham man) Derrek Shulman stepped down.
Coincidentally, a few months ago, Babson College announced they had new leadership, as former Lt. Governor Kerry Healy took the job of President.
