Governor Patrick Answers Budget Questions at Wellesley Media Corporation

In the most recent episode of "Inside Wellesley," Creative Programming DIrector Erich Archer speaks with Governor Deval Patrick about the budget proposal.

 

It's not every day the Governor comes to Wellesley. He recently sat down with the Wellesley Channel to talk about the budget plan.

When asked, Governor Patrick tells Archer that the philosophy of the proposal is "Growth. It's really about investing in the things we know create jobs and opportunities for investment."

Patrick speaks for about 25 minutes, getting into some of the specifics of how it will affect Wellesley and the taxpayers.

According to Patrick, total taxes for families making less than $35,000 should go down. For families between $35,000 and $60,000, they should stay about the same. Above that, taxes go up "according to their ability to pay."
