Wellesley College historian to visit Waterstone

Wellesley College historian Jane Callahan will visit Waterstone at Wellesley on Tuesday, July 16 at 2:30 p.m. Callahan will share her knowledge of Wellesley College’s rich history. Wellesley College was founded in 1870 by Henry and Pauline Durant, who were passionate about providing women with unparalleled educational opportunities. Over the years, Wellesley’s faculty has included renowned women who were leaders in their fields, including 1946 Nobel Peace Prize winner Emily Green Balch and “America the Beautiful” author Katharine Lee Bates. This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is required. Call 781-235-1614 to RSVP. Waterstone is located at 27 Washington St., and includes 134 apartments for seniors 62 and older.
