Wellesley Storm Center Update: Wellesley Public Schools to Open on Time

Check here before, during and after the storm for updates, resources and important numbers.

The National Weather Service is predicting 6 to 10 inches of snow in the Boston area between Tuesday and Wednesday. A Winter Storm Warning has also been issued for the region through Wednesday afternoon.

According to National Weather Service, there will be periods of moderate to heavy snow along with gusty winds that will cause visibilities of one mile or less at times. Winds will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Closings and Cancelations
Wednesday, Jan. 22
6:08 a.m.: Wellesley Public Schools will be opening on time today.
6:04 a.m.: Wellesley College will be open. All scheduled events will take place.
5:46 a.m.: Massachusetts Bay Community College will be opening at 5 p.m. today. As of this time, Wellesley Public Schools have not made an announcement canceling school.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

6:03 p.m.: All meetings at Town Hall have been canceled.
5:42 p.m.: Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, all Wellesley Public School evening activities and rentals are canceled tonight. The Redistricting Community Forum originally scheduled for tonight will now be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Any further decisions about school tomorrow will be determined early Wednesday morning.  
3:32 p.m.: Starbucks will be closing at 8 p.m.1:03 p.m.: Massachusetts Bay Community College will be closing at 3 p.m.
11:35 a.m.: Airlines Canceling Flights in Preparation of Storm
