A native of Virginia Beach, VA, Courtenay Roy came to Baltimore in 1998 to enroll at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She never looked back. While at CND, Courtenay galvanized her status as a true Gator, giving three years to the swim team and all four years to tennis, where she served as team captain her junior and senior years. After graduating in 2002 with a BA in Business, she began a career in ad sales at her senior internship location, the Baltimore Sun.

Three years later, in 2005, she left the Sun to follow in her father's footsteps as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. Despite having earned her Series 7 and 66 licenses, Courtenay's desire to return to advertising proved too great, heralding her return to the Sun in September of 2006 as an interactive sales consultant; a prescient move, as Courtenay was named Online Sales Representative of the Year in 2008 and 2009.

Eventually, greener pastures came calling, and in June she came aboard Patch.com's intrepid young sales team. Courtenay brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and zeal to this new opportunity, and looks forward to helping Patch.com establish a legacy of unprecedented growth. She currently lives in Nottingham, MD with her husband, Christopher, their 1-year-old daughter, Sydney, and a pride of 4 house cats: Oscar, Sadie, Darryl Hall, and John Oates.
