Snowy Mix Expected to Impact Wednesday Morning Commute

The potential for accumulation is light, but the times it's expected could cause some headaches.

  Just when you'd gotten used to 60-degree days, Old Man Winter reappears. Plan some extra time into your Wednesday morning commute as forecasters at WHDH are calling for a light snowy, rainy mix to begin falling at about 4 a.m. and continue throughout the day. According to Jeremy Reiner on the WHDH weather blog, this isn't expected to be a major storm, nor is he calling for the snow to fly faster than the plows can handle it. "It won't be a big, bad storm that gets a name or anything like that but it will create some issues for us," Reiner writes. Monday Morning Delays for Framingham/Worcester Line

Several inbound trains, including the P506, P508, P510 and P512, are facing delays.

After Friday evening was filled with delays on the Framingham/Worcester line, local commuters heading into the city this morning are facing more train delays. According to MBTA alerts, several Framingham/Worcester inbound trains including the P508, P510 and P512 are facing 10- to 20-minute delays due to a mechanical failure and an earlier medical emergency. The P506, which appeared to be involved with the mechanical and medical issue, was facing 35- to 40-minute delays as of 8:30 a.m., according to the alerts. Outbound trains did not appear to be affected until 9:30 a.m., when an alert indicated the P509 outbound train was experiencing 10- to 15-minute delays due to earlier delayed trains.
