Last night, the Wellesley South Little League juggernaut ran into a wall against a powerful Andover National team in Game 1 of state finals pool play. South lost 9-7 to a team that earned nothing but slaughter rule victories in their sectional finals. South hasn’t lost a game in several weeks, and they have another one tonight (weather permitting) against Joe Schwartz (Worcester). Is South overmatched now that they’re in the state finals, or is a little dose of defeat every once in a while OK for a team so used to success?
