Storm Moving into Wellesley Area Tonight

The winter storm packed quite a punch down in the South; but what does it mean for Wellesley?

The large winter storm that dropped inches of snow in the South is now headed towards the Northeast, although little snow accumulation is expected in Wellesley. According to the National Weather Service's latest forecast, several inches of snow are expected to fall in the western part of the state tonight, but with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees in Wellesley, the snow is expected to change over to rain or icy rain after midnight.  According to the WHDH 7Weather Blog, the snow will start tonight between 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and quickly turn to rain in the Boston area.
