1. Some serious wind swept through the area last night. 2. Seems like everything is OK, but Wellesley Patch will look into whether trees fell. 3. A tree fell on top of a car yesterday afternoon at 173 Worcester St. 4. In case you didn't know, Rosh Hashanah has ended, but the next Jewish High Holiday, Yom Kippur, will take place beginning at sundown Tuesday, Sept. 25 and end at sundown Wednesday, Sept. 26. 5. Here’s some information on recent coyote attacks in Wellesley. Here’s a story from Boston.com on coyotes in the suburbs. The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” warning of “a low to moderate probability of near record cold and bitterly cold wind chills over the weekend into early next week.” …But still no snow. NWS calls for a partly sunny day with a high temperature of 38 degrees. The Advisory Committee will meet tonight at 7.

Richard McGhee, longtime chair of the World of Wellesley board of directors, is stepping down, according to the Board of Selectmen last night. …At the meeting, the fiscal year 2013 operating budget for the building department was pushed back to next week. Wellesley woke up to some snow on the ground yesterday. Will the wintry trend continue? The National Weather Service says today will be breezy with a high temperature of 38 degrees. …NWS calls for a 30 percent chance of snow on Thursday, however. There are no meetings on the municipal schedule this week. …Also, town offices will close at noon Friday. One week from Wednesday, a group of parents will meet to discuss issues within the school department, according to Boston.com. The National Weather Service calls for a 30 percent chance of showers today. The temperature will reach 49 degrees, according to NWS. NWS also issued a hazardous weather outlook, which warns of a "moderate to high probability that a wind advisory will be needed" tonight into tomorrow. Wellesley Patch will monitor the situation.
