The Local Wellesley Looking To Replace China Sky

11 Forest Street location soon to be filled by popular gastropub from West Newton.

  In Mid-December, after China Sky shuttered its doors, we asked What Should Replace China Sky? One user seems to have hit the nail on the head, as Jim Montalto wrote simply, "The Local." A story on the Swellesley Report says that rumors of the West Newton-based gastropub eyeing a space in Wellesley are not exaggerated.  See the full story on The Swellesley Report. The Newton location opened in 2008. I think it is great that The Local would want to open a location in Wellesley but I can't figure out why a pub would want to open in a town where you can't be served a beer or a glass of wine without eating an entire meal?   more ›
