Class of 2011 Graduates from Wellesley High
A blend of nostalgia and forward thinking characterized Friday evening's commencement ceremony.
Wellesley High School’s class of 2011, the last to graduate from the old building, accepted diplomas under clear skies Friday evening at Hunnewell Field. Sporting Raider red caps and gowns, 245 students moved their tassels from right to left, signaling the end of a 13-year journey through the town’s public school system. Principal Dr. Andrew Keough told the graduates he was proud of them and expressed confidence in their futures. Keough’s remarks represented the mix of looking back and looking ahead that characterized the evening.
