Wellesley High School reports more marijuana found on students than in past years. Is this because of the state's looser laws?
Wellesley Police reported recently there have been more reports of students with marijuana in the high school than in past years. Needham High School has had a few incidents of bags found in the school, and last October, one NHS Student was found with 10 Bags of Marijuana. Although last year's bi-annual adolescent health survey found use at Needham High was down. One observation police have made is that there seems to be more openness about marijuana use among teens since it was decriminalized in Massachusetts. In November, Mass. also voted to approve the legalization of medical marijuana.
