The Attorney General's office has issued indictments in the Sun Spa sex trafficking arrests from October.

  Indictments came down today in the Sun Spa sex trafficking case, according to the Attorney General's office-issued press release. The three owners of Sun Spa (also known as Sun Studio), were arrested and charged with sex trafficking in October. “These defendants allegedly employed masseuses to offer sexual services at two massage parlor locations, and further, profited personally from those services,” said Attorney General Martha Coakley in a press release. “We allege that these defendants exploited these women and coerced them into prostitution.” Joseph Girouard, 55, of Revere, was indicted on two counts of Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude, two counts of Conspiracy to Traffic Persons for Sexual Servitude, two counts of  …

Motorist Arrested after Arriving at Sun Spa While Police Executed Search Warrant

The following information was supplied by the Wellesley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A driver pulled onto the Sun Spa property while police were executing a search warrant last week and then left, only to be arrested on charges of driving without a license shortly thereafter. Noel Farquharson, 28, of 2 Kensington Park, Roxbury drove onto the property at 194 Worcester St. and then continued to drive east on Route 9 during the Oct. 18 search, according to Wellesley Police Lt. Marie Cleary. Detective Christopher Connelly recognized the driver of the vehicle and proceeded to stop the car down the road. After a routine license query showed Farquahrson was operating without a license, he was arrested and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle.   State and local police assisted in the arrests of the owners of Sun …
