The 12th annual running took place at Babson College yesterday.
Results from yesterday’s Office Stewart Savage Memorial 5K are in. Andrew Gordon, 49, of Chelmsford finished first with a time of 18 minutes and 39 seconds, according to coolrunning.com. This year’s 5K drew 204 runners. Photos from the race are available at wellesleypdphoto.com and at the Wellesley Police Department’s website. The 5K (3.1 mile) race is run each year to honor the passing of Wellesley Police officer Stewart Savage who died following a car accident in 1995.
The School Committee votes on a new school superintendent this week.

The race is Sunday at Babson.
This weekend marks the 12th annual Officer Stewart Savage Memorial 5K Road Race at Babson College. The race is an all day event and typically draws hundreds of runners, last year it drew 191. Last year’s winner was Andrew Gardiner, 45, of Wellesley who ran the 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) race in 15 minutes and 39 seconds. The race is named for Wellesley Police Officer Stewart E. Savage who died in a car crash in 1995. Runners start at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Webster Athletic Center on the Babson College campus. A kids’ fun run will begin at 10 a.m. for children under 10 years old. Pre-registration cost is $18, and $20 day of race. The first 300 applicants will get a free long-sleeved T-shirt.
