Police Investigate Rollover Crash on Great Plain Ave. [VIDEO]

The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The Wellesley Police Department released a photo and video of the initial stages of an investigation into a rollover crash on Great Plain Avenue near Brook Street Wednesday night. According to a Wellesleypolice.com announcement, an SUV hit a patch of ice around 9 p.m. Jan. 4 and the driver lost control of the vehicle. Officers arriving to the scene saw the vehicle pinned against a tree. The driver became trapped inside the vehicle. Officers removed the victim from the vehicle, and paramedics treated the victim for minor injuries, according to the announcement. The victim was transported to the hospital.

Victim of Sunday Rollover Identified as New Hampshire Man

The 47-year-old suffered fatal injuries in the crash, police said.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the victim in an early morning rollover on Rte. 128 as a 47-year-old Manchester, New Hampshire man. The name of the victim, who died as a result of the accident, is being withheld pending notification of his family, police said in a statement Sunday.  The rollover occurred around 7:18 a.m. on Sunday, when the New Hampshire man lost control of the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck he was driving.  The truck reportedly drifted to the left and off of the highway near Exit 21 on Rte. 128 in Newton, before crossing all travel lanes and finally leaving the road on the right-hand side, rolling over and coming to rest in the travel and breakdown lanes.  The driver was partially ejected from the …

Rollover on Rte. 128 Leaves One Dead

Two other victims were injured but allegedly refused treatment on Sunday.

Drivers on Rte. 128 near Exit 16 on the Wellesley-Newton line were held up by a rollover accident Sunday morning that allegedly left one person dead.  The accident took place shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, and early unconfirmed reports indicated that one victim was dead on arrival. Two others were allegedly injured in the accident but were refusing treatment.  A call to Massachusetts State Police for further detail was not immediately returned Sunday morning.
