Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.  Domestic Altercation Police received a report of a domestic altercation, a man and woman came into the station to report the March 9 incident. Officer Kane spoke to them on March 16, and went to the residence on Berkeley Road. Based on the report and the conversation, police arrested and charged William Noonan, 54, of Berkeley Road on two counts of assault-and-battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of simple assault. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.  He Keeps Turning Up While performing traffic enforcement on a crowded Washington Street, 11 a.m. on Feb. 19, Officer Cunningham reported seeing a Chevrolet van speeding in a 30 mph zone. A radar scan reported the van was going 49 mph. Police pulled the van over at Washington Street and Benvenue Street.  When asked for the license and registration, the driver said he did not have his license, but provided registration for the car. He told police he had a Brazilian license, and had been in the States for several years. After performing an NCIC check, the officer determined his right to drive had been suspended in …

Police: Wellesley Man Showed Gun in Apparent Road Rage Incident on Route 9 in Newton

The incident was reported Wednesday on Route 9 westbound in Newton.

For the second time in a week, Newton Police are reporting an apparent road rage incident that resulted in one driver pulling out a gun.  According to police reports, the Newton Police Department received information from the Wellesley Police Department around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday regarding a road rage incident on Route 9 that involved one driver showing a black handgun. The victim, who initially reported the incident to a Wellesley detail officer, told police he was driving on Route 9 westbound when another driver brandished a black handgun at him near the Elliot Street intersection in Newton. The suspect was also traveling westbound on Route 9, reports said. He was described as a heavy-set man wearing glasses and driving a black Toyota …
