Students, Faculty Officially Take Over New High School [PHOTOS]

Wellesley High School’s current student body said goodbye to the old building this morning and hello to the new one.

In an hour-long morning ceremony, the students of the old Wellesley High School transitioned from the 74-year-old building into the brand new state of the art school built right next door. In the old high school's lower gymnasium, Principal Andrew Keough led the ceremonies and paid homage to the old building. Several spoke at the event including Selectwoman Katherine Babson, Superintendent Bella Wong and others. To end the ceremony, the students walked ceremoniously from the old building into the new one where classes resumed for the day.
