Police Respond to Overturned Auto on Grove Street

Needham and Wellesley police responding to a crash on Grove Street involving a pedestrian struck and a car overturned.

[Update: According to a police press release, the crashed vehicle had hit a parked landscaping trailer and rolled over on Grove Street this morning, at about 8:15 a.m. Equipment from the trailer hit a landscaping worker. The driver, a 57-year-old woman from Natick, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconness in Boston with minor injuries. The worker was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. 10:51 a.m.] ---- Scanners report that, at about 8:30 a.m., police received a report of an overturned car on Grove Street, near the town line. Reports indicate a pedestrian was struck in the crash. Missing Needham Teen Found Safe

Area resident called police after hearing about a search for the 15-year-old.

A Needham teenager missing since Thursday afternoon was found safe shortly before 1:00 p.m. today. "The missing teen was found on Marked Tree Road by Oak Street in Needham at 12:45 p.m.," Needham Police Lt. Chris Baker reported. "He was returned home without incident." Police had issued an alert about the missing teen, identified as 15-year-old Ian Boisvert, this morning, notifying Wellesley officials as well, as the boy had been known to frequent the Wellesley Public Library and Elm Bank, according to reports. "We received a call from someone driving on Marked Tree that they thought they saw the boy we were looking for," Baker said.
