Sustainability Symposium a Source of Inspirational Hard Truths

Experts and professionals on Renewable Energy and Sustainability present at a Library Symposium.

The Wakelin room at the Wellesley Library hosted a Symposium on both renewable energy and sustainability, bringing a number of local experts out to share their knowledge of and experiences with making Wellesley a greener place. Oct 9, 2010 was declared Sustainable Energy Day, and the Symposium is part of that event. Coming out of the event are some hard truths, as well as some inspiring statistics for renewable energy advocates.  "It's not a free lunch. We have to pay for the power," explained Don McCauley, President of Minuteman Wind.  Minuteman Wind is a project aiming to build five wind turbines atop a hill in Savoy, MA.
