State Police Bring Vehicle Chase to an End in Brookline
Brookline and State Police arrest a Watertown man after an eastbound chase down route 9 through Wellesley early this morning. The Driver is currently under police guard at Beth Israel Hospital.
Early this morning, Natick Police attempted to stop a man driving a 2012 Toyota SUV on Route 9. The driver then fled west, leading local and state police on a chase through Wellesley which ended after the driver crashed into a State police cruiser and sideswiped one from Brookline. The driver, Ender Durgut, 39 of School Street in Watertown, was arrested and charged with various driving violations, including negligent operation, failing to stop, and leaving the scene of a crash. He is under police guard at Beth Israel Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash.
