Bin Laden’s death proves the everyone, including young children, have unlimited, unfiltered access to the “war on terror.”
We had the news on a lot Sunday and Monday. In fact, I think we watched close to four hours of national news coverage following the President's announcement of the death of Al Queda leader Osama bin Laden. I noticed my teen's attention turning to the coverage. It was impossible to miss it, since we parents were immersed. I watched with interest as our teen became immersed as well. She even expressed discomfort with the celebration-like atmosphere in the streets of New York City and outside the White House. It was clear that a chance to have a morality discussion was falling into my lap. Questions ranged from "where do you draw the line?" to "doesn't the bible say thou shalt not kill?"
