St. James The Great Church
781-237-1160
The youngest of the town's Catholic parishes, St. James The Great was among those slated for closure in 2004. Since then, a group of area Catholics, including St. James parish members, have maintained a daily vigil at the church.
The Vatican has recently upheld the decision to close the church, along with nine other parishes, but the vigil holders hope to work out a compromise with the Archdiocese of Boston.
