Wellesley High and Middle School sports schedule

5 p.m.: Girls Varsity Soccer @ Wayland High School


10:30 a.m.: Wellesley Parents and children are invited to fly, zip and zoom to 180 Linden Square St., Wellesley for the third annual Superheroes Party and an enjoy an action-packed afternoon of fun including:

  • Photos and fun with your favorite superheroes

  • Visits from the local heroes of the Wellesley Police & Fire Department

  • Airbrush tattoos

  • Super treats and crafts

  • Great gift bags and more!

  • All of the proceeds raised by the event will benefit the Ellie Fund and our mission to fight breast cancer. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.


    Sunday events:

    2:15 p.m.: Join the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra at MassBay Community College, 50 Oakland St., Wellesley and welcome special guests BSO Principal Oboe John Ferillo and BSO violinist Victor Romanul, performing J.S. Bach's Double Concerto for Oboe and Violin in C minor; John Williams' Theme from "Schindler's List"; and Morricone - "Gabriel's Oboe" from "The Mission". The WSO completes the program with Beethoven's - Symphony No. 7. A pre-concert talk by Leslie Holmes will begin 2:15 p.m. with the concert starting 3 p.m. A reception will be held after.


    7 p.m.: The Carey Concert will take place at the Jewett auditorium, 106 Central St., Wellesley. In a program to complement his course entitled “Schubert, Schumann and the Lyric Impulse,” pianist and Phyllis Henderson, professor of music Charles Fisk performs Schubert’s two very different sonatas in A major, and, between them, Robert Schumann’s Kreisleriana. This program is free and open to the public. RSVP is recommended.
