2 p.m.: The Memorial Garden, formerly located in the courtyard of the old Wellesley High School building, will be re-dedicated. Everyone is invited. There will be brief speeches and a cookies-and-cider reception.


SUNDAY EVENTS

2 p.m.: Crocodile River will perform an interactive musical geography lesson at Wellesley Public Library.  Begin in Africa with the music and rhythms that originated there in tribal and ritual drumming. Then travel around the world exploring the calypso, reggae, flamenco, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music that has blossomed from these African musical roots. The musicians will introduce listeners to native instruments and the various languages that mark each genre. This program is free and open to the public.
