3. New Year’s Drop-in Craft
Wellesley Free Library will close 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. However, the library will offer a number of programs before closing, including New Year’s Drop-in Craft 10 a.m. to noon in the craft room. Drop in to create a New Year’s Celebration Hat. This festive project is good for families with children of all ages.

New Years NeedhamRing in the New Year with neighboring Needham Tuesday, Dec. 31 starting 10 a.m. with the Chinese Lantern display throughout the Town Common and ending with the Countdown Party at Powers Hall that will include music, dancing, food and a cash bar for ages 21 and older. Cost for the Countdown Party is $20 at the door. Other event highlights include the Tanglewood Marionettes, Charles River Ballet, story telling, a magic show, comedy and more.
