The Week Ahead: Backpack Building, Movement and More!

A selection of the week's activities in Needham and Wellesley.

1. It's sunny and warm today, 78ºF highs according to the National Weather Service. The evening will be mostly clear, with a low of 59ºF.

2. Donate a backpack, but not just any backpack--the one you built. You can donate a backpack, and shop the Wellesley Library's room to put together a backpack for JFS Metrowest to give to local families who need them. 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, bring a back! To register, see their website.

3. Cici Hunt is bringing her special brand of movement to town this week. On Tuesday at 11 a.m., the Library is hosting her in the Storytime room. There is a maximum of 20 participants, so you have to register if you're interested. Call (781) 455-7559 x204 for more information.

4. East Coast Acappella is playing the final session of Waterstone at Wellesley's Courtyard Concert series on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 6:30 p.m. They'd like you to RSVP, so call 781-235-1614.

5. Free Fun Fridays is bringing the fun to the New Repertory Theatre this weekend. Head there for one of two performances of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' They have a 10:00 a.m. performance and 2:00 p.m. performance on Friday, August 30, for free.
