Sip and Shop Trunk Show to Benefit MSPCA

1. This week’s weather

Monday: Showers with a chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then sunny in the afternoon. There will also be patchy fog in the morning. Highs will be in the mid 60s. Southwest winds will be 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Monday night will be mostly clear and much cooler with lows in the mid 30s. West winds will be around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny and much cooler with highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds will be 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Tuesday night will be clear with lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the lower 40s. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s. Highs will be in the mid 40s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s. Highs will be in the mid 40s.Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 30s.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s. Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow showers. Lows will be around 30.


2. Selectmen’s meeting

The Wellesley Board of Selectmen will meet in the Juliani Room of Town Hall Monday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. An update will be given on the Special Town Meeting and Tolles Parsons among other things.


3. Stephen Collins to give Robert Frost presentation

Actor Stephen Collins will visit Waterstone at Wellesley, 27 Washington St., for a presentation on Robert Frost on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Collins will resurrect the famous poet and discuss his life and work. For more information or to R.S.V.P., call 781-235-1614.


4. Sip and Shop Trunk Show

Join Dayton Home, 276 Washington St., Wellesley Wednesday, Nov. 20 for a sip and shop trunk show event to benefit the MSPCA of Boston. The trunk show will feature a variety of Dayton Home's favorite products including jewelry designs from Amelia Rose, alpaca throws from Simple Things, customizable dog beds from P.L.A.Y., and dog-themed fabrics from the Emily Bond Collection. A portion of the proceeds from all sales from the show, including items in the Dayton Home showroom, will be donated to MSPCA-Angell and their mission to protect animals.


5. Edible arts

Kids in grades 6-8 can come to the craft room 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Wellesley Public Library for edible art Friday, Nov. 22. Have fun concocting scrumptious and eye-catching delicacies, then eat them when you’re done.  If you have food allergies, contact the Children’s Department ahead of time and they will accomodate. No experience necessary.
