Land’s Sake Farm to Give Healthy Eating Workshop

2. iPad Tips and Tricks program

Wellesley Free Library will hold an iPad Tips and Tricks session 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 13 in Jackie’s Room. In this hands-on session, learn how to set-up information, mail, use calendars, apps and many other features. Bring your iPad or iPad mini to this session, as the library does not provide them. Registration is required as space is limited. Register by calling 781-235-1610, extension 1105 or in person at the reference desk.  


3. School Committee meeting

The School Committee will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 in the Great Hall. They will vote on the fiscal year 2015 operating and capital budgets and discuss the bullying policy revision. For the agenda click here.


4. Board of Selectmen meeting

The Board of Selectmen will discuss the annual Town Meeting warrant articles and operating budget in a meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14 in the Juliani Room of Wellesley Town Hall. Click here for the complete agenda.


5. Eating a Rainbow with Land’s Sake Farm

Come to the Wakelin Room at Wellesley Free Library 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for Eating a Rainbow with Land’s Sake Farm. Land’s Sake Educators will introduce children to the concepts of colorful, balanced, healthy eating with a fun and interactive nutrition workshop. In this workshop, kids will learn to design nutritious meals and also create a simple healthy snack with their FenderBlender bike. Students will take home recipes, tips and fact sheets to share with the family. This program is best for children in grades 1 through 3. Sign up is recommended.
