Wellesley Little League Topped in Semifinals of New England Tourney

The Wellesley South Little League team fell short of reaching the championship game of the New England Region Little League tournament currently underway in Bristol, Conn., according to Unpage.

Wellesley, ranked second entering the semifinals, lost to the Bedford, N.H., team, 2-0. Prior to the semifinal contest, Wellesley had won two games and lost two games. Bedford and Fairfield American (of Connecticut) advanced to the championship game, which will be played Saturday, Aug. 11.
