Running from Wellesley to Provincetown? The PMC Ultra-Marathoner

One man, inspired by the Marathon bombing, prepares to run the 163 mile Pan-Mass Challenge bike course.

While a number of residents are gearing up to ride from Babson College to Provincetown in the Pan Mass Challenge, one man is lacing up.

39-year-old Adam Scully-Power is preparing to run the PMC course, the first time in the fundraiser's history. He spoke with CBS Local, and explained he was inspired by the Boston Marathon bombing earlier this year, and ran his first 110 mile race in December.

“I’ve been told I’m crazy more times than I’d like to admit in the past few weeks since people found out what I’m doing, “ Adam told WBZ’s Lisa Hughes, who is also riding the PMC. “I tell people, ‘Crazy for a good cause.’ The PMC is a great cause.”

He will be joining the cyclists on the course today, August 2, for its 163 mile course that leaves from Babson College.
