Winter recess is almost upon staff and students in Wellesley.
Wellesley Public Schools will close at the end of the day Friday, Dec. 20. Winter recess will run through Wednesday, Jan. 1. School will be back in session Thursday, Jan. 2.
At Wellesley College, Res Halls will close 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 for winter break. Bates, Freeman and McAfee will open Sunday, Jan. 5 at noon for wintersession classes. Only those students approved to live on campus may return on this date. Wintersession classes will begin Monday, Jan. 6. Res Halls will open for all students again 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. The first day of class will be Monday, Jan. 27.

Last day of classes at MassBay Community College is Saturday, Dec. 21. The first day of spring classes is Tuesday, Jan. 21. Winter session classes are Thursday, Jan. 2 through Thursday, Jan. 16.
