Wellesley Students' MCAS Scores Higher Than State Average

The MCAS results are in, and in most cases Wellesley students scored higher than the state average. Here's an overview of Wellesley students versus the state average.

English: 

Wellesley students scored 33 percent Advanced, 54 percent Proficient, 9 percent Needs Improvement and 3 percent Warning/Failing. 

Statewide students scored 19 percent Advanced, 50 percent Proficient, 23 percent Needs Improvement and 8 percent Warning/Failing. 

Math: 

Wellesley students scored 47 percent Advanced, 34 percent Proficient, 13 percent Needs Improvement and 6 percent Warning/Fail. 

Statewide students scored 28 percent Advanced, 33 percent Proficient, 25 percent Needs Improvement and 14 percent Warning/Fail. 

Science and Tech:

Wellesley students scored 19 percent Advanced, 43 percent Proficient, 31 percent Needs Improvement and 7 percent Warning/Fail. 

Statewide students scored 16 percent Advanced, 37 percent Proficient, 35 percent Needs Improvement and 12 percent Warning/Fail.
