WGBH high school game show coming up in February features 16 schools, including Wellesley's team.

WGBH’s award-winning academic quiz show premieres Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 6:30pm on WGBH 2

Sixteen Massachusetts public high school academic teams have advanced to compete on season four of High School Quiz Show, WGBH’s academic quiz show hosted by Billy Costa, premiering Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 6:30pm on WGBH 2.

The show’s production team announced the 16 schools on High School Quiz Show’sFacebook page earlier today. Teams qualified by earning top scores on “Super Sunday,” an event at which registered school teams each took an identical 100-question oral quiz at WGBH Studios in Brighton.

The 16 high school academic teams that will appear on season four of High School Quiz Show are (in alphabetical order):

  • Chelmsford High School
  • Framingham High School

The 2013 tournament bracket, featuring the season four qualifying matchups and corresponding television broadcast dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

High School Quiz Show, recipient of a 2011 New England Emmy Award and a 2012 National Educational Telecommunications Association Award in recognition of the local series’ Community Engagement, is endorsed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The Princeton Review judges the televised competition and reviews the questions.
