The CardioVascular Institute (CVI) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center will host “The Heart of a Woman,” a free event focusing on women’s cardiovascular health and the under-recognized risk of cardiovascular disease in women on Saturday, June 16, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newton Marriot Hotel. As you may know, cardiovascular disease affects more than one in three American women and is the leading cause of death among women.
The event, co-sponsored by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and the American Heart Association (AHA), will feature free cardiovascular health screenings courtesy of BID-Needham staff members and expert discussions regarding prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Seats are limited, and registration is required before June 15th. To register, please contact JoAnn Cacciapuoti with the AHA at 508-935-3903 or joann.cacciapuoti@heart.org. For more information about the event or the Women’s Cardiovascular Program, please visit: http://www.bidmc.org/cvi.
