On Friday, kids at Wellesley High School were encouraged to leave their backpacks at home--to remember a friend
The Swellesley Report says that Hannah Randolph, who died in a skiing accident last year, has been excited to tour the high school and leave her backpack at home. "No Backpack Day" was in tribute to her.
The 15-year-old Wellesley teen collided with a tree, according to a CBS Boston report, while attempting to ski an expert trail at Copper Mountain resort Sunday. She was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
In a letter from Principal Andrew Keough, she was described as “a gifted artist, musician, athlete, scholar, and most importantly someone who cared deeply for others."
