Carl Crawford is Latest Pro Athlete to Sell Wellesley Home [PHOTOS]

The former Boston Red Sox outfielder has put his Temple Road home on the market.

It must be selling season for former Boston professional athletes.

Carl Crawford, the beleaguered former Boston Red Sox outfielder, has put his 7,426 square foot home up for sale, according to Curbed Boston, a website specializing in city coverage.

Crawford, whose contract was purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers midseason, lived in a five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion at 39 Temple Road. The house is being sold for $2.99 million.

The house includes a home theater, game room and batting cage, according to NewEnglandMoves.com. The house is listed by Coldwell Banker.

Two weeks ago, former Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen put his 11,093 square foot, $5.2 million mansion on Woodlawn Avenue on the market.
