Woman Suing Wellesley Gap Over Junk Mail

The woman says the company used her zip code to find her address.

In March, the Supreme Judicial Court ruled that it was illegal for stores to make credit card customers provide their zip code to complete the transaction, and that has lead to a series of lawsuits according to Universal Hub.
The most recent lawsuit was filed by a Natick resident who says the Wellesley Gap took her information and sent her unwanted mail.
"In her suit, originally filed in state court but transferred to US District Court in Boston, Molly Karp says she shopped at the Wellesley Gap ten times over the past four years, and each time was required to hand over her Zip digits," Universal Hub reports. "She charges the Gap then used that to find out where she lived and send her 'unsolicited and unwanted direct-marketing material at her home.'"
