Wellesley Duck Pond Now More Environmentally Friendly

New steps have been taken to ensure the sustainability of the pond.

The Duck Pond park will be expanding soon, and thanks to the Wellesley Natural Resources Commission visitors will be able to enjoy nature and be a part of the movement to make Wellesley a more sustainable town.
As part of the changes, the resource committee has added a rain garden, permeable pavers to prevent runoff from the walking stones and native buffer plantings.
The unveiling will take place on July 13 at 10:30 a.m. and native plants will be raffled off for those who attend.
