Nomination Papers for Town Election Available

Nomination papers for the annual Town Election are available at the Town Clerk's office.

The deadline to take out papers is Jan. 10, 5 p.m.
Among seats available are two three-year Board of Selectmen member seats and two three-year School Committee member seats.

To see which other seats are up for election, see the photo above or click here.

Candidate must be a resident of the Town, and for certain offices a registered voter. Candidates for town-wide positions must obtain 50 signatures of registered voters. Candidates up for re-election for town-wide offices must also obtain signatures, unlike Town Meeting Member candidates. Town Meeting candidates must obtain 10 signatures of registered voters within their own precinct.

If the candidate intends to solicit funds or spend money on a campaign, a committee must be formed in advance and campaign finance requirements must be followed. Request a handbook and forms or see the state Office of Campaign and Political Finance website for further information.

The election will take place March 4. Additional information and dates can be found at this link.
