Climate Protection Action Fund In Town

Canvassers asking people to write letters in support of clean energy to Sen. Scott Brown.

Senator Scott Brown's office may soon receive letters supporting clean energy, some of them from Wellesley residents.

Canvassers for the Climate Protection Action Fund were out in force this week, outside the library on Tuesday afternoon and again today, as well as along the sidewalk on Washington Street in front of local shops.

Matt Hanson, a canvasser working for the fund, was asking passers-by if they would write a letter to the senator supporting clean energy. When they agreed, he provided a piece of paper and a pen and asked them to do so on the spot. Hanson said he was collecting the letters, which the Climate Protection Action Fund intended to send to Senator Brown.
