Candidates Greet Town Meeting Members

Senator Cindy Creem, campaign for Peter Smulowitz greet voters Monday

Town Meeting members showing up at the back entrance of Wellesley Middle School Monday night were greeted  by campaign workers for State Senator Cindy Creem and State Senate Candidate Peter Smulowitz, as well as Creem herself.

Creem and her workers shook hands and passed out flyers as Town Meeting members entered the building, while workers for the Smulowitz campaign did the same a short distance away.

Creem, a Democrat from Newton, will face challenger Charles Rudnick of Newton in the September Democratic primary. Smulowitz, a Democrat from Needham, will face current State Rep. Richard Ross of Wrentham for Scott Brown's State Senate seat May 11.

Town Meeting members, perhaps anxious to wrap what many anticipated as the last evening of a long series of Town Meeting sessions, didn't linger with Creem or the campaign workers.
