Wellesley Traffic Alert: Gas Leak on Weston Road

Police say there will be "extensive delays" on Weston Road because of a gas leak which developed yesterday.

 

The Police say you can expect "extensive" delays on Weston Road today, near the Fells block, due to a natural gas leak.

National Grid crews will be on scene to repair the leak, and according to the announcement sent out by the Police this morning, you may be able to smell natural gas in the area until the leak is fixed. Crews have been working overnight, and will continue to work in the area throughout the day.

National Grid crews are going to be repairing a natural gas leak on Weston Road at Cleveland Road near the Fells block today.  This leak developed yesterday and crews have been working through the night to repair it.  You may notice an odor of natural gas in this area until the leak has been fixed.

Please expect extensive traffic delays on Weston Road in the area of Route 9 at the Fells block throughout today.  There will be police officers on scene to direct traffic.
