Wellesley Traffic Alert: Crash at Washington and State

[Update: The Wellesley Police Department have released crash footage from the intersection. The crash itself occurs at the 1:05 mark on the video embedded here. According to the end of the video, the driver was arrested and charged with operating to endanger, operating under the influence of liquor and drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, and possession of class B and D drugs. Nov 13, 2:27 p.m.]

[Update: Scanner reports indicate that the morning's crash was a three-car crash, and two patients needed evaluation by EMS on the scene. Scanners seem to indicate a Town vehicle was involved. 9:48 a.m.]

Local crash reported at the State Street intersection with Washington Street at around 8:50 a.m.

According to scanner reports, multiple cars were involved in the collision. Wellesley Police and two ambulances are among the initial responders. There are some traffic delays still in the area, according to the SmartTraveler map for the area.
