The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
Break it Up
After 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 6, police received a report of a physical altercation between two women on Appleby Road. Officer Amalfi responded to the residence and spoke with neighbors who were in the hallway, saying that they heard a fight occur in the upstairs apartment.
When officers separated and spoke with the two involved, they were told different stories, but believe that a verbal altercation became physical. One of the parties involved had small cuts to the forehead. Police arrested and charged Deborah Kelly, 57, of Appleby Road with domestic assault-and-battery. She was taken to Dedham District Court.
The other woman involved will be summonsed to court also for a domestic assault-and-battery.
Bridge Is Out (for Commercial Vehicles)
Officer Dennehy was on patrol at about 10:15 a.m. on Feb. 6, and saw a commercial vehicle make a right turn from Linden Street onto Rockland, where there is a posted sign prohibiting commercial vehicles. He pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the driver.
The driver did not have a license, and told police he was from Brazil--although he did not have a license from that country either. He provided officers with a name and date of birth, which officers queried. They learned he did not have a valid Mass. license, and there was an outstanding warrant from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE).
Police arrested and charged Douglas Ferreira, 30, of Newton on that outstanding license. He was released to the custody of the Plymouth County sheriff, on behalf of ICE.
Before 11 a.m., Officer Porier was conducting traffic enforcement in the Oakland Circle area, and queried a Honda sedan. The report came back that the owner of the vehicle had their license revoked.
After pulling the car over and confirming that the driver was the owner, police arrested and charged Miguel Solis, 35, of Norwood with driving after revocation of license. He was transported to Dedham District Court.
