Wellesley Police Department Makes 197 Arrests in 2013

Department releases call statistics for November and December.

Wellesley Police Department released their call statistics for the months of November and December in 2013.

That report revealed that 12 arrests were made in November while 17 were made in December. This is down from October, when 22 people were arrested. In 2013, 197 arrests were made.

Also in 2013, 35 break ins were reported. Twenty-six of those were residential while nine were commercial facilities. In November there were two residential break ins while there were four in December.

Police responded to 89 motor vehicle accidents in November and 105 in December. The total number of crash reports for the year is 944.

Also in 2013, there were 1,593 alarms, 580 emergency 911 hang ups, 1,696 medical emergencies, 2,696 vehicle stops, 2,357 reports and 1,623 traffic posts.

Overall, Wellesley Police Department has taken 18,122 calls in 2013. From that, 1,580 calls were made in November and 1,763 were from December.
