Wellesley Police Collecting Toys for Children

The Police Department is collecting toys, as in past years, to give to kids in need. Donations can be made at their headquarters.

You can help the Wellesley Police Department "make the holidays a little brighter for those in need," by bringing them an unwrapped toy.

They are collecting for their Toys for Children program. The unwrapped toys will be collected, wrapped and distributed to families in need around town, according to an announcement on the Wellesley Police website.

Wellesley Police Chief Terry Cunningham, on behalf of the Wellesley Police Department, is currently accepting donations for our own Toys for Children program. Every year the Wellesley Police Department collects new, unwrapped toys for children under the age of 13.. The toys are then wrapped by Wellesley Police Officers and distributed to those less fortunate children and struggling families in town.

This makes the holidays a little brighter for those in need. The department has run this program for the last few years thanks to the generous support of the community.

Donations can be made at Wellesley Police Headquarters, 485 Washington Street, Wellesley. Arrangements for pickup can also be made by contacting Wellesley Police Officer Evan Rosenberg (ERosenberg@WellesleyMa.Gov) during the day, or Officer Timothy Barros (TBarros@WellesleyMa.Gov) at night. Both officers can also be reached by contacting the Wellesley Police Department at 781-235-1212.
