Wellesley Neighbors Launch Durant Road Fire Fund

On August 16, a three-alarm house fire tore through a Durant Road home.

Just before 1 p.m., dispatchers received ten phone calls within a few minutes, and within an hour, Wellesley firefighters, with some help from Natick, Needham and Weston, were able to get the fire under control. There were no injuries in the fire, but the home itself was damaged in the blaze.

The neighborhood is looking to help--according to a donation campaign recently set up on YouCaring.com, a free online fundraising website. The beneficiaries of the campaign have already raised more than $6,000 to help Ted and Katya Daniel, the beneficiaries of the campaign.
