Wellesley Man Falls From Ladder, Medflighted to Boston

A Wellesley man had to be medflighted to Boston from Joseph E. Fisk Elementary School around noon today, after falling 25 feet from a ladder.

The man was doing exterior work on his home on Pine Street when he fell. Wellesley Police Department responded to the scene and ordered the helicopter after the man reported not being able to feel his legs.

"That male party landed on his feet, but had some symptoms that might be consistent with possible spinal injuries," said Wellesley police lieutenant Marie Cleary. "He was conscious and alert when we responded."

The closest approved helicopter landing zone was Fiske School, located at 45 Hastings St., Wellesley. The man had to be transported from Pine Street to the school before being lifted to Boston for evaluation as a precaution.
