Wellesley Firefighter Chosen to Participate in Firefighter Throwdown
Competition to take place next month.
Wellesley firefighter Matt Tedeschi will show off just how strong he is by competing in the Firefighter Throwdown next month.
One hundred firefighters were chosen from around the nation to represent their department in the contest, which will take place Feb. 19 and 20 in San Diego, Calif. According to the event website, the Firefighter Throwdown is an athletic competition that requires overall strength, endurance and a tough spirit. Participants had to qualify to compete.
Tedeschi is 5' 8" and 198lbs. He has six years with the Wellesley Fire Department.
