Two Chased from Needham Arrested in Wellesley, Other Traffic Arrests

The following reports were provided by the Wellesley Police Department. Charges where mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

On Tuesday, July 9, Officer James Lindelof stopped a vehicle on Washington Street after noticing that the vehicle did not have an inspection sticker. The driver, Noel Llanes, 28, of 16 Oak St., Waltham, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, motor vehicle lights violation (broken rear brake light) and a default warrant out of Waltham District Court for failure to appear.

On Thursday, July 11, officers from the Needham Police Department began a pursuit with a vehicle that had reportedly been involved in a drug deal in their town. The chase continued into Wellesley where the driver and an occupant fled their vehicle on foot. Detectives from the Wellesley Police Department were able to locate and book Joseph German, 19, of 8 Bartlett Ter., Newton and Matthew Leighton Burgess, 25, of 46 Varick Hill Rd., Waban. Both men were charged by the Needham Police Department.

On Friday, July 12, an officer stopped a vehicle he observed crossing the lines on Route 9. Matthew. J. Guariglia, 23, of 32 Braeland Ave., Newton, on charges of drunken-driving and marked lanes violation.
